Shadows - Lamp

Design and Create a lamp - SCAD Summer Seminar 2011 The lamp shows that as humans we fear the unknown and do not know how to react to it. The unknown paralyzes us and can eventually take away our light. The shadow monsters around the light bulb represent the unknown, which are our fears, and the bulb represents the light of hopes and dreams. The lamp was created using Rhino and laser cut MDF. I designed it so that it is completely collapsible and comes apart for ease of shipping and to store flat.
